Helping everybody afford spay & neuter
We help residents afford spay & neuter services so pets can stay healthy, families can keep the animals they love, and fewer litters end up without care.
The Local Problem
Over 7,000 dogs and cats enter the Valencia County Animal Shelter each year. That’s the same amount as Denver, which has a population of 700,000+.
When Pets Can’t Be Fixed, Everyone Pays
When spay & neuter isn’t accessible, animals and communities suffer—more stray litters, overcrowded shelters, and tougher outcomes for pets who deserve a home.
Our Mission
The Spay Neuter Coalition of New Mexico is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce the number of unwanted pets in Valencia County & to prevent the euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats since 2015.
