We are off to a running start with our first spay neuter clinic coming up this month, January 29-31st. With funding from Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue, and other supporters including theValencia County Animal Shelter, CARE & the Pueblo of Isleta and our generous community we were able help in the process of spaying and neutering over 320 pets last year. But we need your help to continue and reach our goal of fixing 300 pets this year!
Our world reknowned local hero, Karen Kuehn, is at it again, taking time out to volunteer and take photos of the shelter’s pets needing out. As you can see from some of the photos, (found on the Volunteers of Valencia County Facebook page), Valencia Shelter is bursting with unwanted dogs… and some of the lucky ones will go to Albuquerque, Colorado and Utah’s rescues & shelters, who bear this community’s unwanted pet problem.
If you work at a business that makes donations to local non-profits, you can help putting an end to overpopulation right from your desk! We can come to your business and meet with you and the decision maker or give you the information you need to ask your place of work for much needed funds to cover these expenses. Just let us know!
